From regeneration and planning, to investment to finance, retail, and the importance of culture, we explore the full spectrum of ideas shaping Belfast’s future.

Our 2025 event took place on Thursday 23rd January, but we’re already busy planning for 2026!

NEW YORK'S FIRST NIGHTLIFE MAYOR
Ariel was the Founding Director of NYC’s Office of Nightlife from 2018 to 2023, appointed by Mayors de Blasio and Adams. A former nightclub owner and community board member, she established the office, addressed systemic issues, and guided the industry through COVID-19. Globally recognised, Ariel now consults governments and the hospitality sector, offering practical solutions for safe, vibrant nightlife.
Catherine Gall

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CHAIRE ETI

Catherine Gall is the Executive Director of Chaire ETI, a leading research center at the Sorbonne in Paris focused on environmental sustainability and innovation. With extensive experience in driving impactful initiatives, she bridges academia, business, and communities to foster sustainable growth. Under her leadership, Chaire ETI has become a global hub for groundbreaking research and solutions.
Councillor Gavin White

EXECUTIVE MEMBER FOR HOUSING & DEVELOPMENT
Councillor White was elected to represent Old Moat ward in May 2018 and re-elected in May 2021. From 2018-2021, he served on the planning and neighbourhoods committees. As Executive Member for Housing and Development, he oversees Housing Management, Planning, Regeneration, Private Rented Sector, and strategic housing initiatives.
Dr. Theresa Donaldson

CHAIR, BELFAST HARBOUR

Dr. Theresa Donaldson is Chair of Belfast Harbour, Vice Chair of EirGrid Group, and a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors. She has held senior roles in local government, health, social care, and legal services, including as Chief Executive of a local council and Director at the NI Legal Services Commission. Theresa also serves on several boards, including the Centre for Effective Services and BBC Children in Need NI Appeals Committee.
